Ramnavmi and Hanuman Jayanti

Laxmi Mandir has its affiliated temple namely Shree Ram Temple and Shree Hanuman temple.vastu of Shree Ram temple was constructed by Shri Hari and Dr. Prakash S Naik Kurade in the year1984 twelve years after the construction of Hanuman temple. This entire Vastu is commonly known as Ped.

Ped has a very nice and Scenic view, situated on the bank of a tributary of river sal. Shree Hanuman temple is beneath the big pimple tree facing Shri Ram Temple. Both Ramnavmi and Hanuman Jayanti are the main Utsav celebrated by Laxmi Mandir Trust. and on the occasion of Ravnavmi late in the evening palkhi of Shri Ram is carried in procession to the Laxmi mandir followed by Arti, Prasad, and auction.

Hanuman Jayanti is celebrated at 6.00 am on occasion of Chaitra Poornima.

Ashad Ekadashi

Ashad Ekadashi is celebrated on the 11th day of the month Aashada, even starts at 12.00pm Mahajan of the Mandir come together for reciting Abhang and bhajan of Shri Vithal rakumai, this ustav is celebrated for continuous 24 hrs.

This Utsav was actually celebrated for seven days and hence named as saptah all the Mahajan’s namely Keny, Talaulikar, Angle, Kurade, Ambe, Kunde, Chimulkar were hosting Bhajan day/night at the respective residence over a period the same was accommodated for 24 hours in Mandir. The 24 hours Utsav is hosted by Mr. Vinayak Govind Angle.
Abhang patakh are hosted by the mahajans of each family.

Abhishek

As the tradition continues the entire wado or we can say Mahajans of Gaud Saraswat Brahmins plan ,performs Abhishek to our Gram Daivat “Shree Shantadurga kunkoliekarin ”.before the Abhishek some rituals of visiting and performing Gharane at the feet of village Rakhno namely a) Azoba b) Katamgal c) Khute Purus is offered by committee along with Mahajans.

Saraswati Pujan and Navratra Utsav

Navratri is one of the auspicious festivals of the Shree Laxmi Mandir Trust, Starts from padwa. Mata Laxmi is decorated with different types of alankar on each day and on Ashtami, the Devi Saraswati is worshiped and puja is conducted for three days up to Dussehra. Puja followed by Arti in Goan style playing instruments like Ghumat, shamel, kasali, zaan, etc . and Prasad.

On the Dussehra, children in the age group of 4yrs to 6yrs come to temple to perform Patti Pujan with purohit and learn to write word ||????|| as per the Hindu culture.

Laxmi pujan: (5 days programme)

The main festival of the temple celebrated on the day of Ashwin Krishna Amavasya. Laxmi puja marks the start of the Utsav. Pujan begins with performing Abhishek in the early morning of the deity followed by Shree Ganesh Puja, Punyavachan, Matuka puja, Devnandi, acharyavaran, Navchandi parayan,devta span, Navgrah puja, and Navchandi Havan followed by Maha-Arti Annasantarpan.

In the evening the deity is worshiped by performing Arti followed by Prasad.

Day2:Temple committee along with Mahajans of temple organizes several cultural programs.
Mangalacharan is performed as a mark of respect to Lord Shree Ganesha (God named as Vighnaharta)
All other cultural activities are followed thereafter.

Day 3: Tradition of Haldikunkum and Hotibharni is offered by Suhasini of our village, also daughters of our Wado who are married elsewhere participate in the tradition.
In the evening the deity is worshiped by performing Arti followed by Prasad and thereafter begins the program for the evening.

Day 4: Deity is worshipped in a similar way like other days by performing arti and Prasad during morning and evening and program at night such as natak or singing etc.

Day5:On the day 5 after daily rituals and programs at night age-old tradition of auction commonly known as pavni begins.
Auction is performed of different offerings offered by devotees to the deity during the entire Utsav of 5 days Laxmi pujan.
This marks the end of the Laxmi pujan.

Kartik Ekadashi

On the day of Kartik Ekadashi procession of lord vithoba is taken is palkhi in the village at 5.00 pm, palkhi visits every house. The villagers decorate premises and the surrounding with great enthusiasm to welcome the deity in their house for short puja. The procession is completed only when Palkhi enters back in the temple followed by ovalni by temple purohit at 4.00 am in the morning.

It is believed that Shree Vishnu in his Vithoba avatar visits every house through palkhi to see Tulsi getting ready for the next day for Tulsi vivah.

Datta Jayanti

Datta Jayanti is performed in the temple on the day of shukl Poornima in the month of Magha.
This Seva is hosted by the family of late Yashwant Sinai Talaulikar.
