HISTORY

Shree Laxmi Mandir was established in the year 8th February 1914, with the purpose of spreading knowledge and education along with social work and improvement. All these years are popularly known as Dharamshala. This organization was built by the most generous philanthropist Late Shri. Narayan K.Keny and donated it to the Samast Saraswat Brahman Samaj of Sanvorcotto Cuncolim.

Shree Laxmi trust was established in the year 2006 all the dedicated members of this trust have worked tirelessly for the organization Dharmashalla to bring it to the position where it is today.

The mandir was renovated and punar prathishthapana of Shree Laxmi was done in the year 2014 on Amavasya in the month of Ashwin by the hands of his holiness Shri Saunshtan Partagali jeevotham mathadish Srimat Sripad Vader Shri Vidhyadhiraj teerth Swamiji. The Mandir premises and Mahajan’s are also blessed by ashirvad’s of Shri Kaivalya Mathadish Srimat Shivanand Saraswati Swamiji.

A great philanthropist late Shri Narayan Keny donated the land and constructed the temple of Shree Laxmi pandurang on the adnya of parampujya partagali Swamiji. His main intention was to spread knowledge and to perform social work. hence a shala was started in Marathi & also Ma Saraswati Utsav murti was installed in the temple
